Last winter, I led the “Save the Middle School” petition drive. Since January 2008, I have been the chair of the “Save the New Paltz Middle School” committee and have been a regular attendee at school board meetings. During these meetings, I have monitored the progress of the middle school project, and have regularly spoken during public comment to both commend and criticize the district's decisions and direction.
